About FIFA Street

EA Canada developed the first FIFA Street, and Electronic Arts published it in February 2005 under its EA Sports BIG label, for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. Ronaldinho, then playing for Barcelona, was on the cover. The series continued with FIFA Street 2 in 2006, and a reboot with the same name arrived in 2012, but the game on this page is the 2005 original in its PS2 version.

Instead of eleven-a-side matches in a stadium, FIFA Street plays four against four on small courts in street venues around the world. It cares much less about formations and tactics than the main FIFA games do. What matters is flair: beating defenders with tricks, keeping the ball moving with quick passes and finishing in a cramped space. You build up a team that can include well-known players of the time, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho among them.

How it runs in your browser

Pressing Play opens fifastreet.online in a new tab. Slayoner runs the site on snuri00’s browser runtime, which uses WebAssembly and WebGPU. The game files load automatically, so there is nothing to install and you don’t need your own copy of the game. A current version of Chrome or Edge is the safe choice.

You can play against the computer or against a friend online. The host explains how a private-room match works: in the game, pick Game On and then Pick Sides. The guest moves over to the Away side using their own controls, and then both players confirm their teams before kickoff. Saving isn’t mentioned in the host’s notes, so longer progress may not be kept between visits.

The site blocks visitors from some countries, including Pakistan and Turkey.

Controls and devices

You can use a keyboard or a game controller. Click inside the game picture first so it picks up your input. Because FIFA Street leans so heavily on tricks, a controller is the more comfortable choice: moves are easier to pull off when the stick and face buttons are under your thumbs. The full key layout isn’t listed here, so check the site or the game’s options before kickoff.

Phones and tablets aren’t listed as supported. Plan on a desktop or laptop.

Who it’s for

FIFA Street suits anyone who preferred showing off with the ball to managing a full squad, and players who remember the mid-2000s street football games. It also fits a quick head-to-head with a friend in another place, since the private rooms work through the game’s normal team select. If you’d rather play full-sized matches, the PSP version of FIFA 14 is also on the site.
