About SSX 3
EA Canada made SSX 3, and Electronic Arts released it under its EA Sports BIG label in October 2003 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. Versions for the Game Boy Advance and the Gizmondo followed later as separate handheld ports. The browser version on this page is the PS2 release.
Earlier SSX games were built from separate courses. SSX 3 instead puts everything on one fictional mountain with three peaks, which open up as you progress. You can ride it freely in freeride mode or enter events: races, and trick contests in slopestyle, big air and super pipe, with gold, silver, bronze and platinum medals on offer. Landing tricks fills an adrenaline meter that powers your boost, and the most extravagant moves are the über tricks. Between runs, a fictional station called EA Radio Big plays the soundtrack, hosted by its DJ, DJ Atomika. The PS2 version originally had online multiplayer too, though that service closed long ago.
How it runs in your browser
Pressing Play opens ssx3.online in a new tab. Slayoner runs the site on snuri00’s browser runtime, which is built on WebAssembly and WebGPU. The game files load automatically, so you don’t install anything or provide your own copy of the game. A current version of Chrome or Edge is the safe choice.
The host offers private rooms with a chat. Its English game guide notes that two-player mode for SSX 3 hasn’t been tested online, so treat online sessions as experimental and don’t expect every mode to support two active riders. Riding on your own is the dependable option. Saving isn’t mentioned in the host’s notes, so progress up the mountain may not carry over between visits.
The site blocks visitors from some countries, including Pakistan and Turkey.
Controls and devices
You can use a keyboard or a game controller. Click inside the game picture first so the browser hands it your input. A controller suits SSX 3 well: steering with a stick is smoother than tapping keys, and trick combinations are easier when the buttons sit under your thumbs. The full key layout isn’t listed here, so check the site or the game’s options before your first run.
Phones and tablets aren’t listed as supported. Plan on a desktop or laptop.
Who it’s for
SSX 3 suits players who remember the PS2-era arcade snowboarding games and want to ride that mountain again without digging out a console. It also works for anyone who likes racing games but wants something looser than cars on a track, since chaining tricks to earn boost matters as much as the racing line. Because each race and trick event stands on its own, it also fits a short break as well as a longer session.

Can I play SSX 3 online with a friend?
The host offers private rooms with chat, but its guide says two-player mode for SSX 3 hasn’t been tested online. Treat it as experimental; riding solo is the reliable way to play.
