About Lethal Company

Released into Early Access on Steam in October 2023, Lethal Company is a co-op horror game from Zeekerss, a solo developer. You work as a contracted scavenger for a mysterious employer known only as the Company. Your crew’s ship lands on abandoned moons, you head into dark, abandoned facilities to find scrap, and you haul it back to sell so you can meet a profit quota before the deadline.

The creatures waiting inside are what make every trip tense, and the game’s proximity voice chat, where you can only hear teammates who are nearby, turned group runs into a mix of horror and comedy. It became one of the breakout indie hits of late 2023.

How the web port works

This version is an unofficial port by a fan known as crax, hosted on wasm.rip and embedded right on this page. Nothing needs to be installed, and you don’t need to provide your own game files.

The big difference from the Steam release is that online play isn’t listed for the port. Lethal Company was designed for a group of friends, so expect a solo experience here. Going alone changes the feel of the game: there is no one to watch your back, carry extra scrap or tell you what is behind the next door.

Saving isn’t listed either, so plan to play in single sessions rather than working through a long run of quotas over several visits.

Controls and devices

Play on a computer with a keyboard and mouse, as with the PC original. Phones aren’t listed as supported, and neither are controllers. We don’t have a confirmed key list for this port, so check the game’s settings if a key doesn’t do what you expect.

Who it’s for

The port suits players who want a quick solo run on a computer where they can’t install anything, or who are curious what the fuss was about. If you enjoy it, the full game on Steam adds the online co-op this port lacks, and buying it supports its developer. For more games built around playing with other people, see our multiplayer list.
