About Cork7
Cork7 is a free 3D freeski game made for the browser. The site doesn’t name its developer, so the game is credited here simply as Cork7. Its about page lists five parks:
- The Yard, an open session of 3.96 km with 15 jumps and 5 rail zones
- APEX, the pro grounds, 1.6 km with 4 kickers and 2 rail zones
- Shirakumo, a 3.2 km powder basin with deep powder and natural drops
- Forest Line, a 3.84 km woodland rail park with 15 jumps and 8 rail zones
- Big Air, 0.73 km with one mega kicker and a forest drop
Tricks include spins, flips, corks and grabs, and you can carry them onto rails. You can ride solo against your own best run or join a live room with up to 30 riders, and you can add friends. For head-to-head play, you can call a 1v1 on APEX, Big Air, Forest Line or a course called Aspen Pipe, or look for a ranked 1v1 on APEX, where riders take turns on the same course and ranked wins move your rank. A Locker lets you dress your rider. Replays can be watched from new camera angles, are saved in your browser on that device, and can be cut into clips to share. The Yard, APEX and Big Air have seasonal leaderboards, and runs are checked on the server before they count.
How it runs in your browser
Cork7 is a native browser game, with no emulator involved. Its credits page lists Three.js for the 3D graphics, React for the interface, Supabase for accounts and Cloudflare for multiplayer, with the characters built in Blender. The site doesn’t allow framing, so Play opens cork7.com in a new tab. Nothing needs installing.
Sign-in is offered, and Solo can be picked from the start screen. The site also has a shop and a season pass. The credits say the loading illustrations are AI-assisted concept art rather than screenshots, while the rider and park assets were made for the game in Blender and procedural 3D tools. The soundtrack comes from artists including | e s c p |, Lesion X and KV, under Creative Commons licences. We haven’t tested how well online rooms or 1v1s run.
Controls and devices
From the game’s How to Play guide: WASD controls spin and flip, and the left and right arrow keys add air roll. Corks, bios, rodeos and mistys start at the lip of a jump. F fast-travels on the gondola. For steering and grabs, read the guide on the site before your first run. Phones haven’t been tested and Chromebooks haven’t been confirmed, so plan on a computer with a keyboard.
Tips
- A 360 is worth 1,500 points and a 720 is worth 6,000.
- Holding a grab for 0.25 seconds pays ×1.25.
- A clean landing adds 450 plus 15% of your line.
- Jumps and rails taken one after another build a line.
- Repeating the same trick pays less, so mix it up.
For another 3D game made for the browser, Don’t Fall is a rage-climbing game by Hatchworks.
