About PES 2011

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is Konami’s 2010 entry in its long-running football series, released on PC, PlayStation 2 and several other systems. Its licensed competitions included Europe’s two big club tournaments, the Champions League and the Europa League, and it was the first PES to fully license the UEFA Super Cup and the Copa Libertadores, South America’s top club competition. Konami followed it with Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.

This browser version comes from OptiProjects, the same group that brought PES 6 to the web. It runs the game in a browser tab, supports online matches, and keeps the in-match commentary.

How it runs in your browser

The port is built on WebGPU, a newer graphics standard for the web, so your browser has to support WebGPU for the game to start. Recent versions of Chrome and Edge do. If the game won’t load, updating your browser or switching to one of those is the first fix to try.

PES 2011 opens on its own site, pes11.optijuegos.net, in a new tab. Its site is written in Spanish, so the pages around the game may need translating if you don’t read the language; your browser’s built-in translate option can help with that.

Online multiplayer is supported, so you can play against other people rather than only the computer. Save support isn’t listed, so don’t count on long-term progress being kept between sessions.

Controls and devices

PES 2011 runs on computers and on phones, as long as the browser supports WebGPU, so you can try it on a handset without installing an app. Controller support isn’t listed, and the key layout isn’t published here, so check the in-game settings once it loads.

On a phone, an up-to-date browser matters even more than on a desktop, because WebGPU support on mobile is newer.

Who it’s for

PES 2011 suits football fans who remember Konami’s late-2000s games and want a quick match or an online game without installing anything. It’s also an easy way to see how far browser games have come, since this is a full retail football game running on web graphics technology.
