About this fan game
Cuphead is Studio MDHR’s 2017 run-and-gun, known for hand-drawn art in the style of 1930s cartoons and for a long run of tough boss fights. Cuphead and his brother Mugman lose a bet to the Devil and have to collect the souls of other debtors to settle it.
This page is not that game. Cuphead: Wally Warbles is a fan project built in Scratch by a creator called PizzaGut, and it recreates a single boss from the original: Wally Warbles, the bird you face in the “Aviary Action” level. Like the real game, it offers three difficulty settings, Simple, Regular and Expert, so you can learn the attack patterns on the easy setting before trying the hardest one.
Because it is one fight, expect a short, replayable challenge rather than a full adventure with a world map, shops and multiple islands.
How it runs in your browser
The fight runs as a Scratch project, so nothing needs to be installed. Both hosts open on their own sites in a new tab:
- TurboWarp runs PizzaGut’s Scratch project directly. TurboWarp is an alternative Scratch player that compiles projects so they run faster than on the standard Scratch site.
- hollowknight.io carries the same Scratch project on a general games site.
The game itself is the same on both, so pick whichever loads better for you. Progress saving isn’t listed, which matters little for a single boss.
Controls and devices
The project isn’t marked as working on phones, and controllers aren’t supported, so a computer with a keyboard is the way to play. Controls for the fight aren’t listed here, so look for instructions on the project page before your first attempt.
Who it’s for
Cuphead fans who want a quick boss rematch in a browser tab will get the most out of it, along with Scratch users curious to see how far the platform can be pushed. If you want the complete game with all its bosses, Cuphead itself is sold by Studio MDHR for PC and consoles.
