About Clustertruck
The floor is lava, and the only safe ground is the roof of a speeding truck. That’s the whole pitch of Clustertruck, a 2016 first-person platformer from Landfall, the Swedish studio later behind Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and co-developer of PEAK, published by tinyBuild.
Each level sends a convoy of trucks down a course, and their drivers are terrible. Trucks swerve, collide, flip and launch off ramps, and you have to keep jumping from one to the next until you reach the goal. Because everything runs on physics, no two attempts play out quite the same way, so you’re reacting to the chaos as much as memorizing a route. As you progress, you can unlock abilities that help you stay airborne longer.
It suits players who like quick, skill-based platformers with a sense of humor, and anyone who enjoys games where physics creates its own surprises.
How it runs in your browser
This unofficial port, by NotRexed, is hosted on wasm.rip and plays right here on this page. There’s nothing to install.
Clustertruck is a single-player game, and the browser version has no online play. Progress saving isn’t listed for the port, so you may need to replay early levels when you come back. If you want saved progress and the full release, the official game is available on Steam and consoles.
Controls and devices
Play on a computer with a keyboard and mouse. You look around and aim your jumps with the mouse, which matters in a game this fast. Phones aren’t supported, and controller support isn’t listed for this port. The host doesn’t publish a key list, so check the in-game settings.
Tips
- Look ahead, not down. Picking your next truck early gives you time to line up the jump.
- Expect the convoy to fall apart. A crash up ahead can open a gap or create a new platform, so be ready to change your route mid-air.
- Levels are short, so failing is cheap. Treat early attempts as scouting runs.
- Landing on a truck that’s about to hit something is risky. Jump to one with clear road ahead when you can.
