About Ravenfield

Two armies of bots, the blue Eagles and the red Ravens, fight over open maps in Ravenfield, and you join in as one soldier among many. The game comes from the solo developer SteelRaven7 and entered Early Access on Steam in May 2017. You can stay on foot with a rifle or climb into whatever vehicle is nearby, from tanks to helicopters and boats.

Its active ragdoll physics give battles a slightly goofy, unpredictable feel: soldiers stumble, get knocked flat by explosions and tumble down hills. The simple low-poly look keeps large fights readable and lets the game put a lot of units on screen at once.

How the web port works

This browser version is an unofficial port credited to gurtmuncher and hosted on wasm.rip. It plays right here on our page, with nothing to install and no game files to supply.

Because every other soldier is a bot, you don’t need other players online to get a full battle; the port is single-player, like the original. Saving isn’t listed, so treat each visit as a fresh skirmish rather than a campaign.

Controls and devices

Play on a computer with a keyboard and mouse, as you would the PC version. The port isn’t listed as working on phones, and controllers aren’t supported. The in-game settings are the place to check movement, vehicle and weapon keys, since we don’t have a list for this port.

Vehicles handle very differently from infantry, and helicopters in particular take practice. Try each one away from the front line before you rely on it in a big fight.

Who it’s for

Ravenfield suits anyone who likes large sandbox battles without the pressure of human opponents. You can play it as a straight shooter, as a vehicle playground or just as a spectacle, and short sessions work as well as long ones. If you would rather fight real people, take a look at our multiplayer games or the Counter-Strike page.
