About Trombone Champ
Trombone Champ, from Holy Wow Studios, became a surprise hit in 2022 by turning a simple joke into a real rhythm game. Your mouse is the trombone slide. Moving it up and down changes the pitch, and holding the mouse button or a key makes the sound. Notes scroll toward you on a staff, and you try to match each one in pitch and timing.
Because the pitch is continuous, nothing stops you from playing badly, and the results are loud and very funny. Playing well is harder than it looks and earns a proper score. The original mixes well-known classical pieces and anthems with original songs, and wraps them in odd extras like collectible cards and a running joke about baboons.
